What is Hernia Mesh?

Hernia mesh is a medical-grade implant specifically engineered to support and strengthen weakened or damaged tissue in the abdominal wall, where hernias commonly develop. Acting as a supportive scaffold, the mesh promotes natural tissue growth and helps reinforce the affected area to prevent recurrence.

These meshes are available in various materials, including durable synthetic polymers like polypropylene, and biologically sourced tissues derived from animals such as pigs or cows.
